WPL 2024

The Women’s Premier League is a T20 cricket tournament – a women’s edition of the Indian Premier League, where 5 teams compete against each other to win the league trophy. The five teams participating in WPL are- Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and UP Warriorz.

WPL is based on a double-round robin format under which the top three teams on the points table head to the playoffs. Under this format, the team with the most points at the end of league matches directly enters the finals. Moreover, the second and third teams in the points table compete in the eliminator match, where the winner plays against the top team in the finals.

However, unlike IPL, WPL follows a sleek league structure as the teams only play 22 league matches and 1 eliminator match in the playoffs.

Nevertheless, as the WPL 2 unfolds, cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the on-field action, hoping to witness some remarkable performances and memorable moments from the Gujarat Giants. You can catch the WPL playoffs on 15th March and the final match on 17th March 2024.
