Nokia Edge with 5.2-inch full HD display and 1080×1920 pixels screen resolution

Before Apple, OPPO, or Samsung ruled the market, there was a time when Nokia was a household name in India. Happy news for the nostalgic souls-the once king of the mobile industry is ready to make its comeback, with the new Nokia Edge. Going by the buzz, Edge is one of the most highly anticipated smartphones of 2019. Here’s everything you need to know about India’s beloved brand’s homecoming.

Camera

Let’s start with the camera, which is a primary requirement in smartphones today. Nokia Edge is armed with a stunning 23-megapixel rear camera that is powered with LED flash, designed to capture sharp and bright images even in poor lighting conditions. The phone’s camera offers unlimited editing modes and filters for those who like to experiment with their photography. You will find features like multi-exposure, light painting, electronic aperture, time-lapse, slow motion, panorama, zoom blur, and many more. The selfie camera is equally impressive with a 13-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Design

Nokia Edge has a polycarbonate body that is durable but lacks the sophistication of other popular premium phones. The phone is expected to follow the current trend of bezel-less displays with a thick chin at the bottom. Being true to its name, Nokia ‘Edge’ has a sleek, slim body. It is also extremely light-weight. The panel at the back houses the rear camera and a fingerprint scanner for unlocking.

Display

Nokia Edge will feature an edge-to-edge, 5.2-inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The phone’s IPS LCD screen is impressive and adjusts well to light. You can comfortably browse through without squinting, even in the sun. Nokia Edge comes with a full HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels that offers vibrant colours with excellent details. The device also offers an Adaptive Brightness feature for optimizing your screen settings.

Performance

The phone’s design and display are great but, it is what’s under the hood that is more important. It is astonishing to see that while other brands in the same price segment offer less efficient processors, Nokia Edge is equipped with MediaTek MT6755 Octa-core processor. It houses a 3 GB RAM with an internal memory of 32 GB. The memory can be expanded up to 128 GB with the expansion slot. For a clutter-free and fast user experience, Nokia Edge runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Battery and Connectivity

Nokia Edge packs a 3600 mAh battery that can survive for two days of average use, that can include calling, messaging, and moderate video screening. And it features a 3.5mm headphone port and a dual sim slot that supports 4G Volte.

Price

Nokia Edge is expected to cost Rs 19,990, but unfortunately, the release date has not been officially announced.

The buzz around the phone is increasing by the day and everyone is excited to see what the brand has to offer with their comeback. If you want to take home the trustable Nokia, check out Tata Capital’s consumer durable loan for flexible offers.
