All you need to know about Video KYC

For Video KYC all you need is a mobile device/Desktop/Laptop/Tab with camera access and an active internet connection and you can do Video KYC from anywhere in India.

Here's how it works:

  • You can complete your Video KYC from wherever you are in India within 3-5 mins.
  • You only need your permanent account number (PAN) card and your current address proof of document
  • You'll need decent lighting and a good internet connection

How can I apply for Video KYC?

Step 1

You'll receive an email and an SMS from Tata Capital with a link to perform Video KYC for your application. You'll need your PAN card and Current proof of address handy for the Video KYC process.

 

Step 2

Click on the link and accept our terms and conditions to start the Video KYC. Please make sure you are present in India at the time.

 

Step 3

Follow the onscreen instructions and we'll run a test to make sure your internet, your camera and mic are all working properly. You'll need to have your device's location on, and disconnect from any VPN while doing the Video KYC.

 

Step 4

We'll connect you to our next available representative. If that's not convenient for you, you can also schedule your appointment for a later time – whatever works for you.

 

Step 5

  • You'll be connected to a video call with our representative. During the video call, we'll ask you a few questions to verify your identity and also take the live photograph
  • We'll also take a live photo of your PAN card. (Our representative will explain how to place your PAN card in front of the camera).
  • After completion of Video KYC we will send the status of application on registered mobile number/ Email ID.

 

Please note our representatives will be available from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm  Monday to Saturday except bank holidays.

  • Telephone bill (Not older than 3 months)
  • Voter ID
  • Bank statement
  • Gas Bill (Not older than 3 months)
  • Rental Home agreement
  • Bank Passbook

  • Proof of possession of Aadhaar number
  • Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India
  • Job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government
  • Letter issued by the National Population Register containing details of name and address

Video KYC or video identification is an online method of face-to-face identity verification in which organisations carry out their customer verification process through a video call assisted by a KYC agent.

Please have these things ready for your call:

  •  Your original permanent account number (PAN) Card
  • Your original current address proof
  • Ensure that you have a good internet connection
  • Log in to the call with a device that has camera and a microphone
  • Since the call will be recorded, make sure that you login from an area with ample light and a clear background
  • Permission to access your device's location, camera and microphone
  • Please ensure you are not using a VPN

Yes there is a schedule option where you can schedule call to a later date. However, please ensure to complete your video KYC call within 3 days from your application.

Yes, you need to be in India for the call.
