Xiaomi Redmi K30 with Snapdragon 730 and AMOLED display to be launched soon

Xiaomi Redmi K20 phones launched in July quickly gained popularity across the world. However, that has not stopped the company from working hard. The said company’s general manager confirmed that its successor, K30, is all set to launch soon. Redmi K30 will be an impressive mid-range smartphone that will offer everything that one normally expects from a premium flagship phone. Apparently, it is the most awaited phone of 2019. Here’s what we know about the device so far.

Design

As per the leaked images, Redmi K30 is an attractive-looking device that is bound to impress the buyers. One of the main highlights of the upcoming device is that it bears a complete bezel-less and notch-less display occupying all the space on the front. Moreover, the AMOLED display, instead of an LCD, makes the device thinner, more flexible and lighter. The integration of a motorized pop-up selfie camera makes the display even more appealing. Xiaomi Redmi is fitted with the most advanced gorilla glass 6 for protection, which also adds to its plus points.

AMOLED Display

In terms of display, Redmi K30 flaunts quite a big screen which makes reading, browsing and watching videos a more pleasant experience. The handset features a 6.39-inches display with a high screen resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels. In addition to that, the AMOLED display delivers high brightness and contrast, low power consumption, as well as a rich colour reproduction of the image. Such displays are said to produce incomparable images and are eye-friendly.

In-display Fingerprint Scanner

Redmi K30 also has a fingerprint sensor built into the screen.  The phone uses optical sensors rather than the ultrasonic sensors that are found on some flagship phones. Generally, both perform well, however, the former has been extremely reliable.

Camera

Redmi K30 offers a combination of wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras. The phone features a 48 megapixels camera, which has a support of five-fold optical zoom. The 16 megapixels secondary camera paired with 8 megapixels can capture images with good colour accuracy. Besides portrait mode, Redmi K30 is loaded with image enhancing features like Night Mode, AI scene recognition, Beauty Mode and many more. On the front of the phone is the 24 megapixels camera housed in the pop-up module.

5G

One of the massive upgrades over Redmi K20 is that K30 will get a modem supporting the 5G network. This will be the first Redmi phone to support the new technology.

Performance

In terms of performance, Redmi K30 is backed by a snapdragon 730G processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The duo can handle multitasking, scrolling of apps with exceptional ease. The smartphone offers 64GB of non-expandable memory, which can be slightly disappointing for many.

Price colour and Availability

Xiaomi Redmi K30’s price in India is expected to be Rs 24,990 for the base variant. It is expected to be launched on Jan 31, 2020.
