#2 While normal cruising

Normal cruising could also include driving at higher speeds. In such a scenario, both the electric motor and the petrol/diesel engine can run independently or work in tandem to propel the vehicle to higher speeds.

#3 During heavy acceleration

When the hybrid vehicle is pushed to heavy or hard acceleration levels, it is exclusively the internal combustion engine, petrol, or diesel, that takes it to higher speeds.

#4 At the time of braking and deceleration

When you apply the brakes or ease the pressure applied to the accelerator, the power supply to the vehicle's wheels is cut off, thereby bringing them to rest.

#5 While coming to a halt

Equipped with an automatic start and stop feature, both the internal combustion engine as well as the electric motor turn off when the vehicle comes to a state of complete halt. However, systems such as interior lights, radio, air-conditioning, etc., continue to work from the power supplied by the battery.
