The iQube is equipped with a TFT instrument cluster powered by a ‘next-gen TVS SmartXonnect platform’. This supports smartphone connectivity via the iQube app. Thanks to these two state-of-the-art features, the two-wheeler is loaded with the following and more -navigation assist, remote charge status, geofencing, incoming call alerts, smart statistics, and last park status.

Furthermore, the TVS electric scooter features a USB charging socket and a boot light as well.

Performance

This EV isequipped with a 4.4 kW electric motor, powered by three lithium-ion battery packs, and enclosed in a high-strength aluminium extrusion casing. The scooter can generate a decent torque and go from 0-40 in just 4.2 seconds. With a top speed of 78 kph, the iQube’s motor picks up to 40 kph on eco mode.

Battery range

The iQube can cover 75 km on a full charge in eco-mode. It comes equipped with a 2.25 kWh lithium-ion battery divided into three packs. These batteries are charged by a 5A home charger, which is installed for free by TVS itself. The iQube takes 5 hours to charge up to 80% and 7 hours for a full charge.

While no option for quick charging is available yet, the bike is soon expected to sport fast-charging capabilities. TVS offers SmartXHome, a home charging unit with an auto-cut off feature that turns off charging when the bike is charged completely to ensure good battery health and no overcharging.

Besides, TVS has set up charging infrastructure for the iQube in Bangalore, which currently houses 10 charging stations.

Cost and availability

With a 4.4 kW motor and a gradeability of 10 degrees, the iQube feels nimble and light. It has a front and rear tire size of 12 inches and a curb weight of 118 kg. With a ground clearance of 150mm, the iQube is equipped with telescopic suspension in the front and a rear hydraulic twin-tube shock absorber.

The iQube is also IP67 water and dust resistant.
