Revolt RV400 Price – Range, Specs, Images And Colours

Are you looking to purchase a bike that is eco-friendly and light on your pockets? Do you want to invest in an EV but don’t know which is the best option in the market?

If yes, you might want to consider Revolt’s electric bike. The Revolt RV 400 is among the top 10 electric bikes in India. But what makes it different from the rest? What exactly makes it worth your money? Let’s find out!

Revolt RV 400 is an electric street bike. It is India’s first AI-enabled electric bike. The artificial intelligence system will calculate the real-time battery consumption, range, time taken, distance travelled and more and create a diagnostic report after evaluating all parameters. With a trendy street naked motorcycle design, the bike boasts a well-built tank and sturdy extensions. It also comes with a fairing that shields critical elements like the motor and battery.

Let’s break down the details of the bike to understand why it is making a fuss in the market.

Range

Since the Revolt bike comes in three modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport, the range depends on which mode you are riding the bike on.

In the Sport mode, the Revolt RV 400 top speed is 85kmph with a range of 90km. In the City mode, the speed is up to 65kmph, and the range is up to 120km. And in the Eco mode, the bike can reach 45kmph with a range of 156km. When tested, the bike could cover a distance of 72 km in the sports mode with a 10% battery still left. This is a good range for an EV.

Performance

The Revolt bike comes in two variants – Standard and Premium. The push of a button is all that is required to run the EV. Toggle switches and push buttons help navigate the various modes.

It comes powered by a 3KWh motor, which produces 5kW of power and 50Nm torque. This makes the performance of the bike extremely comfortable. Moreover, it drives the rear wheel with the help of the belt drive system. The bike also uses a 3kW lithium-ion battery which has an unlimited kilometre warranty.

The electric bike maker has focused on providing maximum convenience to its customers while designing the bike. You get two different modes to charge the battery. According to Revolt, you can charge it directly using the socket provided in the bike or you can take the battery out of its casing and charge it anywhere as per your convenience. But since lifting it all is quite a cumbersome task; we recommend you charge the battery within the bike itself. What’s more? You can even swap out the battery at the upcoming battery swap stations of the company.

The bike is also light weight as compared to the average 125 cc scooters and weighs around 108 kg. It offers quick acceleration as you get complete torque from the zero rpm.

The Revolt RV 400 bike will keep you thrilled, but comfort doesn’t get lost in that aim. The bike’s seat has an ergonomic design, so you don’t tire on long rides. You can smoothly move through the traffic with the carefully designed handlebar.

Dimension and Capacity

It has a muscular tank and beefy tank extensions. At the rear, the Revolt bike uses a bolt-on sub frame with a one-piece seat. The weight of the 3.24 kWh battery is around 20 kg. The revolt electric bike also comes with a standard 12A AC charger.

Even after all the extensive Revolt RV 400 specifications mentioned, it has a lightweight frame that provides agility and a better power-to-weight ratio. Thus, the lighter the weight the easier it is to move. It takes around 4.5 hours to fully charge the Revolt RV 400 battery and 3 hours to charge 75%.

Tyres and Brakes

The front tyre is a 90mm/17-inch tyre, while the rear one is a 120mm/17-inch tyre. The bike will engage only if the stand is off. The company has also equipped it with a Combination Braking System (CBS) that ensures you are in control even during events of hard braking. Its CBS braking system with disc-brake at the ends ensures that the bike doesn’t move unless you release the brakes completely.

The brake system is so quick and efficient that you’ll not face any trouble while crossing sharp turns, U-turns, long flat roads, or speed breakers. Moreover, inverted forks handle the suspension duties up front. While at the rear end, there is a mono shock that helps reduce damping effects and enhances comfort.

Features

The bike is equipped with a full-digital instrument cluster and full-LED lighting for the headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators. It also comes with an application that can start up the motorcycle, check your riding history, setup a geo-fence, and also share notifications about low battery charge.

Apart from this, the Revolt RV 400 comes with an on-board charger and portable battery charger. The company has offers of ‘delivery on demand’ wherein they deliver a fully charged battery to a specified location. Another interesting feature includes the exhaust nodes that you can change using the application. You can also switch it on or off on the go. Here are other tech features that the bike offers -

  • Digital Tachometer
  • Digital Speedometer
  • Gear Indicator
  • Fuel Warning Indicator
  • Low Oil Indicator
  • Fuel Gauge
  • Low Battery Indicator
  • Trip Meter Count
  • Pass Light
  • Pillion Seat
  • Pillion Grab Rail
  • Engine Kill Switch
  • Digital Trip Meter
  • Clock

Looks and Colours

The Revolt electric bike’s design is on the lines of street naked motorcycles. The Revolt logo inspires the LED projector headlamp and tail lamp. It also has stylish LED blinders and a hexagonal headlamp that gives the Revolt RV 400 a sleek look. The sub frame and swing arm are made of cast aluminium.

There is no doubt that it looks attractive with its modern looks and funky, tech-savvy features. The bike offers a comfortable single seat and a handlebar that comes equipped with multiple functional buttons. And that’s not all. The bike comes with a ground clearance of 215 mm which is the highest in this segment.

There are three Revolt RV 400 colours – Rebel Red, Mist Grey, and Cosmic Black.

Price

In India, the Revolt bike price is Rs. 1,01,004 for the standard model. While for the premium model, you’ll have to pay Rs. 1,29,463. There are two payment options that you can choose from – you can either pay the MRP or opt for the 'My Revolt Plan'. Under this plan, you will have to pay Rs. 3,999 for 38 months. This adds up to a total of Rs. 1,51,962. The price is inclusive of insurance costs, unlimited battery swaps, service costs, and one-time tyre replacement.

But since the Revolt RV price is slightly on the higher end, taking a loan will be more economical. Moreover, apart from Revolt bike costs, you’ll also have to spend money to charge it.

Let’s assume the following:

  • The Revolt RV 400 charging cost is around Rs. 21.3.
  • The total distance travelled in a month is 930 km (30 km per commute).
  • A single charge can go up to 124 km, making it 7.5 cycles of bike charging.

Thus, the monthly charging cost would be 7.5 x Rs. 21.3 = Rs. 159.75 = Rs. 160 per month.

This makes the bike an excellent investment.

Besides a cluster of digital instruments that display information like speed, odometer, trip meter readings, ampere readout temperature gauge, and battery percentage, the bike also flaunts an attractive design.
