A facelifted version of BMW’s flagship seven-seater SUV has been unveiled in India. All BMW dealerships in the country are now accepting bookings for the same online on the company’s official website. The company will begin delivering the product in March this year.

A facelifted BMW X7 has already been made available on the Indian market with a release date of January 17, 2023. Several exterior and interior features have been changed by the German automaker to distinguish it from the current version. The major competitors of BMW X7 facelift in this segment in India are Mercedes-Benz GLS and Audi Q7.

BMW X7 Facelift variants

The two variants of the BMW X7 facelift that will be available in India are xDrive 40i M sportand xDrive 40d M sport. The following is the list of variants and their specifications:

BMW X7 Facelift specifications

The facelifted X7 is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 376 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. Additionally, it comes with a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that generates 335 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Furthermore, both engines include a 48V mild hybrid system. As standard, BMW’s xDrive AWD system is installed along with the 8-speed automatic transmission.

A curved display on the dashboard and premium leather seats have been added to the interior of the car. Curved displays are used on a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Aside from the iDrive operating system, there are other features such as a 1475-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system and a parking assistant pro.

BMW X7 Facelift price

Both petrol and diesel engine options are available for the new BMW X7 facelift. In terms of price, the petrol variant (xDrive40i M sport) will be priced at Rs 1.22 crore, while the diesel variant (xDrive40d M sport) will be priced at Rs 1.25 crore.

Conclusion

The choice between petrol and diesel engines is a no-brainer. There are some differences between the X7 40i petrol and X7 30d diesel, with the latter offering more standard features. Some of the standard features of 30d are laser lights, captain’s chairs in the middle row, climate control with five zones, and rear seat entertainment systems.
