5 Upcoming Bikes In 2022

Are you a bike fanatic? Are you looking for the latest bike in the market that fits your style? 2022 will witness the launch of several premium bikes in the Indian automobile industry. Owing to the increase in income level and evolving interest of the youth, automakers are ready to launch new bikes that are guaranteed to turn your head.

These new bikes have been in news for a while now and will definitely spoil you with incredible features. Whether you're buying your first bike or an addition to your existing collection, here is a list of the top 5 upcoming bikes in 2022 that you should watch out for.

1. Triumph Tiger 1200

With a revamped design, Triumph's flagship bike, Tiger 1200, is all set to be launched soon with multiple new features. The model comes with a lighter frame and features like keyless start, traction control, adjustable front visor, GoPro control, cruise control, hill hold, a 7-inch TFT display, up to 6 riding modes, and much more.

Additionally, a 1,160 cc inline three-cylinder engine mated to 6-speed transmission powers the new model bike, generating 150 PS of power and 130 Nm of torque. The model is likely to hit the market in two trim levels –  a road-based GT version and an off road-based Rally version.

2. Royal Enfield Hunter 350

The Hunter 350 has classic Royal Enfield components like the round headlamp, the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and rear-view mirrors. Additionally, the latest bike is leaner and ideal for city roads. The bike comes with attractive features like a short tail section, twin-pod instrument console, compact single-piece seat, standard telescopic front forks, ergonomically placed handlebar, dual rear shock absorbers, disc brakes, and much more.

The Hunter 350 will likely have smaller 17-inch alloy wheels, making it the most affordable 350cc bike in the market. Moreover, the customers can also use the company's MIY customisation platform to personalise their bikes.

3. 2022 KTM RC390

The next-generation RC390 model from KTM will have nothing similar to its previous model. Built with a new split trellis frame, the new model bike will have adjustable front and rear suspension, a full-colour TFT display, lean-sensitive traction control, dual-channel cornering ABS, and much more. A single-cylinder 373.27cc liquid-cooled engine is used to power the bike, generating 43.5 PS of power and 36 Nm of torque.

Additionally, KTM has reduced the weight of the new model by around 10 lbs and increased the fuel capacity by 1 gallon. Although the new model is lighter and more agile, it does not compromise stability.

4. Royal Enfield Meteor 650

Another model to look out for in the upcoming bikes of 2022 is the Meteor 650 from Royal Enfield. The 650cc cruiser will have features like a halogen headlamp, disc brakes on both wheels, a semi-digital instrument console, alloy wheels, USD forks, twin-sided exhaust canisters, split-style seats, and much more.

The bike also offers relaxed ergonomics with its forward-set footpegs and a rear-swept handlebar. A 648cc single-cylinder engine will power the bike and generate 47.65 PS of power and 52 Nm of torque. The air and oil-cooled motor will be connected to a six-speed gearbox. Like other bikes from the company, Royal Enfield will offer multiple accessories for the Meteor 650.

5. Triumph Tiger Sport 660

Launched in March, Triumph's Tiger Sport 660 is the latest bike in the market. The new model bike comes with interesting features like a tall visor, twin LED headlights, front and rear disc brakes, an anti-locking braking system, a TFT instrument console, USD front forks, and switchable traction control. A 660cc, inline-3 engine powers the bike generating 81 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque.

The new model also has a sporty semi-fairing design – a muscular fuel tank, an underbelly exhaust, and a step-up seat. The Tiger Sport 660 is Triumph's most affordable model in the adventure-tourer series. With only 1 variant and 3 colours, the bike's starting price in India is Rs. 9,08,000.

To sum up

The current situation has made it unsafe to commute via public transportation. Owning a vehicle not only ensures a safer trip but also helps you reach the destination quicker. However, the launch of multiple new bikes in the market every year can make it challenging to select one that fits your lifestyle. Now that you have a list of promising upcoming bikes in 2022, you can make a decision based on your budget, the features you require, the purpose of the bike, and more.
