Samsung S20 vs OnePlus 7T Pro

Last month, Samsung announced three new phones in the Galaxy series - S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. While the S20 is priced lowest, it could still pinch pockets. However, with a consumer durable loan, a Samsung Galaxy S20 can be bought on instalments. After all, it is an investment in the best technology. 

Buying smartphones these days has become simpler than ever, thanks to a variety of interest free loans available at pocket-friendly EMIs. Not all financiers offer an interest-free loan though. Some finance companies continue to charge a consumer durable loan interest on the financed products.

Samsung S20 vs OnePlus 7T Pro Specifications

In terms of features, the new Samsung flagship directly competes with the OnePlus 7T Pro. The latter though is very aggressively priced than the Samsung. Let’s delve into some more details of how Samsung S20 compares with the OnePlus 7T Pro in this spec comparison.

Specifications Samsung Galaxy S20  OnePlus 7T Pro
Display It gets a large display of 6.2-inch WQHD+ dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and screen resolution of 3200 x 1440. The refresh rate is reduced to 60Hz when the phone’s QHD+ setting is used. Overall, the phone is thinner compared to the 7T Pro. The 7T Pro gets a slightly larger screen size than S20. It comes with 6.67-inch QHD+, fluid AMOLED display.  With a screen resolution of 3120x1440, it has a refresh rate of 90Hz.
Rear Camera It gets three primary cameras – 12MP (f/1.8 aperture), 64MP (f/2.0 aperture) and 12MP (f/2.2 aperture, ultrawide). The exceptional feature is the 100x hybrid zoom. The OnePlus 7T Pro also gets triple rear cameras - 48MP (f/1.6 aperture), 8MP (f/2.4 aperture) and 16MP (f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle).
Front Camera The lone front snapper is a 10MP (f/2.2 aperture) camera. It also features a single front lens of 16MP (f/2.0 aperture).
Processor It gets the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The 7T Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
Color The available options for the S20 are Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue and Cloud Pink. It comes in Mirror Grey, Nebula Blue and Almond shades.
Water resistance IP68 rated Not rated
Storage and RAM It comes with 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 1TB via a micro SD card.  It also gets 8GB of RAM. If you want more, you can opt for the 5G version* of the S20 that gets 4GB of additional RAM. The OnePlus 7T Pro beats the Samsung outrightly by offering exactly double storage capacity - 2565GB. However, it cannot be expanded further.  It also comes with 8GB of RAM.
Battery It gets a decent 4,000mAh battery. The 7T Pro too gets the same 4,000mAh battery.
Price Samsung Galaxy S20 costs Rs. 66,999, and can be bought with the help of consumer durable loan. OnePlus 7T Pro is cheaper than the S20 by Rs. 13,000. It costs Rs. 53,999.

*When introduced, only 4G handsets would be available as 5G network is not available in India. However, the company may offer the same once 5G is available in the future.
