Ola e-scooter: key features
Here are the salient features of Ola’s electric scooter:
- Both the variants are equipped with LED lighting, a front disk brake, and fast charging.
- It provides 36-litre of under-seat boot space
- It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display and 3 GB RAM.
- Packed with GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity that supports features like YouTube and mobile calling.
- It comes with two riding modes for S1 (Urban and Sports) and three riding modes for S1 Pro (Urban, Sports, Hyper)
- Keyless ignition and ‘Find my Scooter’ feature.
- Anti-theft alert and voice assistant.
Other Ola electric scooter features include geo-fencing, reverse mode, Limp Home Mode, Get Home Mode, and Take Me Home Lights. It also boasts of an electronic handlebar lock that works with a proximity sensor. You can automatically lock and unlock the scooter using the Ola electric app on your smartphone. The company has introduced a range of 10 different colours to choose from.

Ola e-scooter: mileage
The Ola electric S1 carries an IPM motor with a peak power of 8.5kW. The S1 variant comes with a 2.98 kWh battery with a top speed of 90kmph and a range of 121 km per charge. In comparison, the S1 Pro variant has a 3.97 kWh battery with a top speed of 115kmph and a range of 181 km per charge.
The S1 variant takes up to 4 hours and 48 minutes, and S1 Pro takes 6 hours 30 minutes to fully charge using a portable home charger of 750W. However, with the fast charging feature, both variants can give a range of 75km with an 18-minute charge.
To fulfil its goal of a cleaner environment, the company also plans to manufacture a maximum of 2 lakh e-scooters yearly and reduce the reliance on petrol vehicles. As a result, the company has planned to install over 1 lakh charging stations in about 400 cities, including hyper charging in metro cities of the country!

Ola e-scooter: price
The company has priced the S1 variant at Rs. 99,999, and the S1 Pro variant is available at a price of Rs.1,29,999 (ex-showroom). However, Ola electric scooter priceis also eligible for FAME-II incentive and state government subsidies, enabling further reduction in the costs in certain regions. For instance, the S1 variant will cost Rs. 85,099 after subsidies in Delhi, while in Gujarat, the same scooter will cost Rs. 79,999. Moreover, the company has started the first phase of bookings at a nominal price of Rs.499.
