The Chinese smartphone brand is all set to launch its flagship phone-Mi 7. The phone has been spotted on China’s 3C certification website as well as on Geekbench, confirming some interesting components and features. Read on to find out more about the next in line- Mi 7.

Design and Display

Mi 7 boasts of a rear fingerprint sensor and a ceramic back much like Mi 6. The phone is extremely thin and light, and fits perfectly in your palm or pocket! The phone has a full-screen display with a narrower chin at the top. There is also a small notch that houses the selfie camera. The elegant gradient design comes in 4 distinct colours- black, ceramic black, blue, and white. Xiaomi Mi7 flaunts a wide 6.1-inch screen with an IPS LCD and a screen resolution of 2,160 x 3,840 pixels. The screen offers good colour reproduction with great viewing angles. The display is sturdy and strong with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera  

Mi 7 does wonders in the photography department too! The phone sports dual cameras at the back. It features a 16 MP +16 MP dual rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. The cameras are backed by a bunch of features like AI image stabilization and ISO control for steady photos and shake-free videos. But it is the night mode that steals the show with stunning shots, capturing every detail. There is also a 13-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chatting.

Performance  

Reports reveal that Mi 7 will have a 6 GB RAM and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 9 OS. Xiaomi Mi 7 is equipped with Snapdragon 845 processor for a super-fast performance and an enriched smartphone experience. What’s more? The Adreno GPU 540 takes mobile gaming to a whole new level. The phone comes with a default inbuilt storage of 64 GB, so you never have to worry about running out of space. However, the memory cannot be expanded with a microSD card.

Battery and Connectivity

Xiaomi Mi 7 draws its power from a 4,480 mAh battery. The brand promises to deliver a full day’s usage on a single charge. Mi 7 may also support wireless charging. Moving on to connectivity, the phone supports a dual SIM slot, 4G, advanced Wi-Fi, advanced Bluetooth v5.0, mobile hotspot, and a USB type C slot. 

Price and Release

As per rumours, Xiaomi Mi 7 will be available at a starting price of Rs 27,000. The phone is likely to launch on December 27, 2019.
