Samsung M31 to Launch in India with 64MP Camera

We all love surprises but nobody likes waiting! This is what most gadget freaks and Samsung loyalists are going through right now. Recently, an image surfaced on the internet with the brand name, the phone name (Galaxy M31), number 64 and hashtag Mega Monster along with the words “Coming Soon”, much like all teasers. Apparently, Samsung is all set to launch the next phone in the Galaxy M series – Samsung Galaxy M31. We haven’t heard much from the Korean Giant. However, rumours about the phone’s features are doing the rounds on the internet. Let’s know them in detail.  

Why Mega Monster, though?

While most phones have an average battery capacity ranging from 3000 mAh to 4000 mAh, Samsung M31 has a mammoth battery capacity of 6000 mAh. This monster battery claims to offer 131 hours of music playback, 29 hours of video playback and 49 hours of voice calls. Simply put, it is expected that the battery will last you two complete days on a single charge.

Good news for photography lovers

Galaxy M31 is said to have a quad-camera set up with a primary camera of 64 MP which can effortlessly capture even minute details. The phone is also rumoured to have an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle along with a 5 MP macro lens and depth sensor. This combination is great for producing excellent quality images and is desirable for most photo enthusiasts.

Technical details: Display, storage, and processor

The phone is expected to have a polycarbonate body flaunting a 6.4 inches AMOLED display. Its full HD + display is bound to enhance the viewing experience of the users. With 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage, M31 is expected to run lag-free. Users can further expand the storage with an external SD card. Moreover, the device is expected to be powered by Exynos 9611SoC and is likely to run on Android 10 with One UI 2.0 skin on top.

Connectivity

Rest assured that you will have amazing connectivity because Galaxy M31 is likely to come packed with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth version 5.0.

Is the wait too long?

Although nothing has been confirmed, rumours suggest that Samsung Galaxy M31 will be launched in India on the 17th of February 2020.

Will the phone be affordable?

Recently, the Indian phone market witnessed a drop in the prices of M30. Although the 4GB RAM/64B variant was launched at around Rs 14,000, you can now own it at Rs 13,000. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant saw a price cut from Rs 17,000 to Rs 15,000.

Considering the price range of its predecessors, M31 is expected to cost Rs 15,000 in India. Some reports even suggest that the phone will be up for the grabs for only Rs 10,000.
