Samsung is trying it’s best to outperform its rivals in the Indian smartphone market with the launch of multiple phones in the last few months. The company has now turned the heat up with the launch of their newest member to join the very popular Galaxy A series. Reports claim that the upcoming phone – Galaxy A70S, could become the world’s first phone to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor. Read on to know the smartphone’s specifications.

Design

Samsung Galaxy A70S will carry the legacy of A-series forward. Despite the large display, Galaxy A70S has a sleek design and is light in weight. The report adds that Galaxy A70S will have a near edge-to-edge display with a U-shaped notch on top and a slight chin at the bottom. The phone will be launched in three colour options – black, white, and lavender.

Display

Galaxy A70S offers a Full HD+ AMOLED screen that looks fabulous. The phone flaunts a big display of 6.70-inch. The display is vibrant and offers sharp colours and an enhanced viewing experience. The fingerprint scanner is well embedded in the screen. The phone also offers features like auto-brightness, dark-mode, and eye-protection to adjust screen colour.

Software and Performance

Galaxy A70S runs on Android Pie based on Samsung’s new One UI version 1.1. The new user interface features one-handed mode, multi-window support, fingerprint scanner gestures, smart alert, palm swipe, etc. to capture images and videos. A70S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. The octa-core processor is coupled with variants of 4 GB and 6 GB RAM and 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 512 GB by adding a microSD card. The phone can handle heavy video-editing apps and games without any snag.

Battery and Connectivity

Galaxy A70S is armed with long battery life, even with extensive use thanks to the 5000mAh battery. The smartphone supports dual SIM functionality and both the SIM cards offer support for 4G VoLTE.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy A70S has the world’s first 64 MP primary sensor, which is also the phone’s biggest USP. The phone sports a triple-lens camera setup at the back. Apart from the 64 MP primary sensor, the smartphone sports an 8 MP secondary ultra-wide sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor accompanied with LED flash.

The new 64 MP ISOCELL GW1 sensor will be the industry’s highest resolution lens ever. It is powered by Tetracell technology which delivers 16 MP images by merging four pixels into one. It also comes with options like live focus, bokeh effect, HDR, pro mode, panorama, slow motion, AR emojis, and a few more. Moreover, Galaxy A70S sports a 32 MP front camera for self-portraits.

Samsung Galaxy A70S is expected to cost Rs. 32,990 in India.
