Built and Design

Huawei Y7 Prime has a shiny plastic built which gives the illusion of polished steel. The front panel contains small bezels and a waterdrop notch that holds the selfie camera. There is a dual sim-tray with a dedicated microSD card slot on the left panel. Performance

Huawei Y7 Prime boots on Android v8.0 (Oreo) operating system. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset backed by a 3GB RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage that you can expand with a microSD card. The phone performs well with no signs of lag. Y7 Prime also fairs well in the gaming arena.

Camera

As compared to its predecessor, Y7 offers quite a significant change in its cameras. The main camera has a 13-megapixel sensor, which is further backed up by a 2-megapixel sensor that provides depth information to the main camera.

The primary sensor can intelligently detect up to 500 scenes with 22 labels in a fraction of a second for better picture quality. At 16 megapixels, the front camera delivers vivid colours, brightness, and contrast. However, unlike other popular Huawei phones, this one lacks the portrait mode.

Battery

Huawei Y7 Prime packs a large 4000mAh battery, which is ideal for the phone’s size. The battery comes with AI power-saving technology which allows you to use your device without having to worry about frequently charging it. Furthermore, the fast charge support and micro USB charger save unnecessary charging time.

Price and Release Date

Huawei Y7 Prime has the potential to be one of the best mid-range smartphones to hit the market in 2019. The phone is likely to go on sale in India on September 27, 2019, and is speculated to cost Rs 14,990.
