When it comes to buying a new smartphone, it’s always a long-term investment and not something you’d want to compromise on. For the same reason, affordable and mid-range phones are becoming very popular these days. Popular brand OnePlus recently joined the fray with its latest release, the OnePlus Nord. However, we have just heard news about a phone that can give the Nord some really tough competition- the Google Pixel 4a.

After the affordable version of Pixel 3 called Pixel 3a, Google is going to launch an affordable version of the Google Pixel 4 as well. It will be called Pixel 4a.  This new Google Pixel phone is slated for an August 3, 2020 release. Google hasn’t yet made an official announcement, so nothing has been confirmed. Here are all the suspected details.

Price

The rumour mills say that this brand new Google Pixel phone will cost $299 (around Rs. 22,400) for the 64GB variant, and $349 (about Rs.26,000). We’re not yet sure of the platforms it will be available on, so keep checking this space for more.

We know that August 3 is almost here and you would want to get your hands on this amazing phone as soon as it’s out. There’s a way to do that without burning a hole in your wallet. Cameras

Now, about the expected camera features. The new Google Pixel phone could have a solid, high-quality primary rear camera which is 12.2MP. It could be the excellent Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor, with an LED Flash. Features could include Auto Flash, Digital Zoom, Face detection, Touch to focus, Dual Pixel autofocus, Phase Detection autofocus, HDR, and Continuous Shooting. It is being said that the second rear camera will be an ultrawide 8MP sensor. With the rear setup, you could record video at 3840x2160 @ 30 fps, 1920x1080 @ 60 fps, and 1280x720 @ 240 fps. Details about the front camera are not clear yet.

Once you’re assured about the core features and cameras, there isn’t much left to decide. With a brand like Google, the brand name is an assurance in itself. You can go ahead without a doubt in your mind. If the price is what’s stopping you from getting a new Google phone, then you can simply avail a mobile on EMI option.

Other features

The Google Pixel 4a is being anticipated with a battery power of 3080 mAh, which is pretty much the standard range for this segment. Sensors could include proximity sensor, light sensor, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and a rear fingerprint sensor. The rumour mills also say that the phone would be dust proof and water resistant. It will probably come out in two shades- Just Black and Barely Blue.
