The American seasoned watchmaker Fossil’s latest edition Gen 5 Carlyle takes on the maker of top phones, Apple’s Watch Series 4 smartwatches. Many experts have termed the Gen 5 as the only potential smartwatch to give the Apple Watch a run for its money. OS The Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle gets the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC processor. Though it is the fastest in the Wear OS, it may fall short on performance compared to Apple.
Currently compatible with Android, Fossil is developing a proprietary app for iPhone users as well.
The Apple Watch Series 4 works only with iPhones featuring the OS5. A 64-bit dual-core processor is offered in the S4 system.
