The Nubia Alpha has a 4-inch OLED display with a flexibility that allows you to control it with simple gestures. You can tap and scroll effortlessly without coming in full contact with the screen. The screen is extensive as well, providing a larger visual area so you can view content and interact better instead of having to spend time scrutinizing information. There’s a 5MP camera as well, that can take high-precision shots and videos up to 10 seconds.

Sleek Design

A stainless steel body and a skin-friendly design ensure that the Nubia Alpha is stylish yet comfortable. Above the body, there’s a coating of 205 Zircon sand spray and black PVD electro-plating that makes the smartwatch dust and water-resistant. Check out the New Fossil Q Explorist HR Smartwatch

Traditional Fossil timepieces are considered to be elegant and classy while being quite affordable too. Many enthusiasts swear by the brand when it comes to traditional, mechanical watches. However, the company hasn’t enjoyed the same success and following when it comes to smartwatches. Well, that could change for the better with its latest offering, the Fossil Q Explorist HR smartwatch. Here are its specifications, features and price.

Superb design and display

The Fossil Q Explorist HR is a great-looking smartwatch that closely resembles a traditional watch. Many people who only have a glance will mistake it to be a mechanical watch because of its large, circular glass front, notched bezels and old-school crown buttons.

What makes the Fossil Q Explorist HR much more than just a mechanical watch is its brilliant 1.4inch OLED panel that is sharp, bright and beautiful. The screen comes with an always-on option that enables you to tell the time without raising it and waking up all the smart features inside.

The smartwatch is offered in a variety of attractive colours that can be further customized with straps made out of different materials like metal, silicon and more.

Decent performance and useful features

The Fossil Q Explorist HR runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and offers 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch offers dual connectivity options though Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Performance is snappy and there aren’t any lags while launching apps or using the in-built functions.

Unlike previous Fossil smartwatches, the Fossil Q Explorist HR is water-resistant up to 30 metres. So, you don’t have to worry about any water damage for the most part. Another nice touch is the built-in NFC chip that allows you to make contactless digital payments via the smartwatch itself.

The Fossil Q Explorist HR also lets you store and control music without the need for your phone. Other useful features include activity tracking and heart-rate tracking.

Impressive battery life

Although the company itself claims all-day battery life on its official website, the Fossil Q Explorist HR might just last you even more than that. Charging is fast and easy with the proprietary charger in the box that gets the battery up to 80% with just one hour of charging. All in all, we have no complaints when it comes to battery life.

Pricing

The Fossil Q Explorist HR smartwatch retails at around Rs 21,999 and offers some great features like built-in GPS, a heart-rate monitor, NFC capabilities and good battery life. Though on the larger side, it is a relatively light watch that most people will wear comfortably on their wrists. Whether you should buy it or not is a matter of personal opinion, but if you do, there are more chances that you will be happy and satisfied with your decision. For an easy buy, you can also consider Tata Capital’s consumer durable loan that comes with flexible repayment options.

Over the years, Samsung has done well for itself in the world of gadgets and electronics to emerge as one of the most preferred brands for customers all over the world. Now, it has just launched a brand new smartwatch – the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2.

We bring you all the information you need to know about it.

Perfection in design enhanced by choices galore

Samsung has outdone itself in the design department this time around. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is a gorgeous smartwatch that exudes style and elegance in abundance. With a big, round dial that provides maximum screen space, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 comes in two size variants – a 40mm option with a 1.2inch Super AMOLED display and a 44mm one with a bigger 1.4inch Super AMOLED display.

Both variants are protected by Gorilla DX+ Glass which makes the smartwatch an able companion for rigorous outdoor activities. As with all AMOLED displays by Samsung, the one on this smartwatch is also clear, crisp and vibrant. Of course, the display is customizable with hundreds of watch faces to choose from.

Samsung wants customers to be spoilt for choice when it comes to materials too. The standard aluminium build will be fine for most, but there is also a pricier stainless steel model available for enthusiasts. You can add a further touch of personalization with interchangeable straps available in various colours.

A performance beast loaded with features

Under its hood, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 runs on an Exynos 9110 dual-core chipset clocked at 1.15Ghz. The Bluetooth model of the smartwatch comes with 768MB of RAM whereas the LTE variant upgrades the RAM to 1.5GB. Both have an internal storage capacity of 4GB. The phone runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS 4.0 that supports both, Android apps as well as iOS apps. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.

The stunning display we have already talked about has two unique features that users will love. Firstly, you have the option to have an always-on display if you so desire, but you can also save some battery by keeping the display off until you raise your wrist. Secondly, and more importantly, the display features a digital touch bezel that you can use for quick control. This makes navigating through apps and widgets a breeze.

The smartwatch is loaded with features like a heart rate and stress level monitor, a sleep tracker and an automatic workout tracker that tracks various activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming, and more.

Price

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 starts at an asking price of Rs. 26,990 for the base aluminium model and goes up to Rs. 30,990 for the bigger, stainless steel LTE model. Only time will tell how well the smartwatch can hold its own against competitors, but at first glance, we are truly impressed by it. LG Watch W7 with Swiss Effect and Wi-Fi Launched

LG, the renowned South Korean company, has just launched a new smartwatch known as the LG Watch W7. This smartwatch is being touted as a game-changer in the industry due to some unique features it offers. Does it live up to the hype surrounding it? Here’s everything you need to know.

A truly unique smartwatch design

The LG Watch W7 stands out amongst the multitude of smartwatches available in the market in one crucial aspect – in addition to the touchscreen found on every smartwatch, it also has mechanical hands with Swiss precision movement to display the time. This hybrid design is one of the USPs of the device, and the advantages it provides are manifold.

Unlike other smartwatches, the screen doesn’t have to be always on in order to display the time. Moreover, you can read the time easily even in extremely bright sunlight – something that can be quite a problem with other smartwatches. Finally, this innovative design makes the LG Watch W7 truly unique by giving it a more traditional watch-like appearance on the wrist.

Robust hardware ably supplemented by powerful software

The LG Watch W7 sports a premium stainless-steel design with a 1.2inch edge-to-edge LCD that enables easy viewing and touch control for the user. It also features three physical buttons on the side to aid navigation and other functions. An IP68 rating for dust and water resistance makes the LG Watch W7 well suited for outdoor activities in all kinds of weather.

The smartwatch is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 chipset paired with 768MB of RAM 4GB of internal storage space. Running on the latest version of Wear OS by Google, the LG Watch W7 supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for seamless connectivity.

The smartwatch is loaded with features that make it a solid, all-around performer. Apart from the usual customizable watch faces and interchangeable straps, the LG Watch W7 also comes with some other useful features such as a compass, stopwatch, barometer and altimeter. Of course, you can also download a variety of supported apps from the Google Play Store to increase the utility of the smartwatch.

Impressive battery life with a ‘time-only’ mode

The LG Watch W7 is fitted with a 240mAh Li-Ion battery that should easily last users a full day even with extensive usage. As mentioned above, this smartwatch negates the need for an always-on display as it features mechanical hands to tell the time. This helps it save some precious battery life. Another huge advantage that the LG Watch W7 holds over rivals is that you can still read the time even if the smartwatch runs out of juice.

Price

You can purchase the LG Watch W7 for Rs 28,000 from the official LG website. Most users will feel that this asking price is warranted as the LG Watch W7 perfectly blends the nostalgic charm of a traditional watch with the new-age functionalities of a modern smartwatch.
