The Tata Travel Card is a prepaid cash card to carry your forex currency safely. This card can be used to shop anywhere in the world and provides access to the currency of your destination at competitive market rates. It can be used at all Visa ATMs and Merchant establishments worldwide. This card cannot be used for payments in India, Nepal or Bhutan.

Tata Travel Card is available in US / Australian / Canadian / Singapore Dollars, Euros, Sterling Pounds, Swiss Francs, Swedish Kroner and Japanese Yen variants are available on VISA platform. You can use the Tata Travel Card in any country where VISA has an acceptance. All the currency variants are accepted worldwide. This implies that you can take any of the above cards and travel to any country and still get the local currency. The local currency is dispensed after applying the cross currency charges, as applicable at the time of the transaction. Your card account will be debited in the equivalent of the base currency taken by you.

However it would not be possible to load more than one currency on a single card.

You are advised to commence the usage of the card only after a couple of hours. You are also advised to ensure that you have received the PIN and sign on the signature panel at the back of the card. It is also advisable to change the PIN and check the Balance on the card at any Axis Bank ATM before your departure from the country.

To withdraw cash, you would need to insert your card into any Visa /Visa Plus / Mastercard ATM machine overseas and follow the instructions on screen. Enter your PIN and indicate the amount you want to withdraw in the local currency. The requisitioned cash will be dispensed in the local currency of the country you are in.

Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a unique 4 digit secure number assigned to your card and known only to you. It allows you to withdraw cash from VISA/ VISA Plus / Mastercard ATMs worldwide. This PIN can be changed (only) at any Axis Bank ATM in India.

All ATMs overseas displaying the Visa or Plus symbol will accept your Tata Travel Card.

There are over 14 Million VISA ATMs worldwide. For a comprehensive list of all ATMs look upto the location of VISA accepting ATMs on their website http://www.visa.com or http://visa.via.infonow.net/locator/global and click on the ATM locator. Unless you are travelling to someplace very remote, it is very unlikely that you won't be able to find one. It may please be noted that there are certain countries where, either the VISA or MasterCard has withdrawn support or there is no presence of VISA or MasterCard infrastructure. Thus, there will be no acceptability of Travel Card in such countries.

The banks in U.S. are given right by the local federal laws to charge surcharge/fees from other bank customers accessing their ATM to withdraw money. Many ATMS in US do levy charges for withdrawing from their ATM over and above the charges mentioned above.

Most of the VISA ATMs have the capability of displaying the amount withdrawn and balance available in the local currency.

Generally, the options available at the ATM for cash withdrawal are "Checking", "Credit", and "Savings". You should choose the "Checking/Current" option. In case the Checking/Current option is not available, you should select the "Credit" option. The Savings option does not link to the VISA network and hence the transaction would not be successful.

The Card gets blocked for use at ATMs, if the card has been used with the wrong ATM PIN more than 3 times. This is for your own security and to prevent any fraudulent use on the card. If you have forgotten your PIN, you may write to travel.currency@axisbank.com for generation of a new PIN.

English is available at most Visa ATMs. Some ATMs are also multi-lingual. However, if you require assistance, you can call the Visa GCAS numbers enumerated in the user guide as well as detailed below.

This is a priced service provided by VISA. Tata Travel Card holders can receive assistance from VISA Global Customer Assistance Service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. GCAS can be used for lost/stolen card reporting, emergency cash assistance, emergency card replacement or miscellaneous information that the customer may require overseas.

- Miscellaneous Customer Service Inquiries: US $ 5 per inquiry,

Yes, Tata Travel Card can be used to transact (Cash withdrawal at ATMs and point of sale transactions at Merchant Outlets) in any local currency. For transactions in any other currency other than the base currency, there will be an exchange rate which will be applicable.

If the transaction is done in base currency (currency in which the card was purchased), there is no exchange rate applicable. However, for transactions other than the base currency, exchange rates / conversion rates from the base currency to the local currency would be applicable as per fine rates applied by Visa. Currency conversion is done automatically in an international online environment by VISA. There is only a mark-up of 3% done by VISA for currency conversion transactions. The rates used by VISA are good and is globally accepted by all banks.

The Telephones or petrol pumps generally debit US$ 1 equivalent at the time of card insertion. The total amount debited is inclusive of this US $1, which will be reflected as 2 different entries in the system.

You can use the card to pay your Hotel bills at the time of check-out. However, please avoid using your card for checking-in (pre-authorization) at hotels. If you choose to use your card at the time of check in, the funds on your card will be blocked till such time that the bills is finally settled. To prevent blocking of funds please make sure that all the test swipes are cancelled.
If you have already settled your bill through other mode, please request the Hotel to send a scanned copy of the Authorization Cancellation letter on the letterhead of the hotels settlement Bank or on the hotels letterhead to us via e-mail. Further, the hotel should state that you have settled this bill through some other mode and they don't need the authorization taken any more.
If you have already checked out from the hotel and unable to provide the letter, you may provide us with the copy of the final paid bill which contains the check-in and check-out dates & mode of payment.
If the Hotel claims that the transaction was declined at their end then you should request the Hotel to send us scanned copy of the letter through email stating that you have settled this bill through some other mode and they will not be raising any claims against your card from us.

In case you have a dispute on any specific transaction, you are requested to provide the details of the transaction to the e-mail id: travel.currency@axisbank.com for doing the needful.

Lost Card Liability Insurance of upto Rs. 2,00,000/-: In case the card is lost or stolen, then you are protected for Lost Card Liability of upto Rs. 2,00,000/- provided by M/s Bajaj Allianz on Tata Travel Card. This insurance is valid from the time you report the loss of the card to Axis Bank.
The misuse, loss or theft of the Tata Travel Card/Pin should be reported to 24-hour customer service immediately. Although loss or theft may be reported by means of the 24-hour Customer Service, you must confirm the same in writing to Axis Bank as soon as possible within a reasonable time period.
Please note it is mandatory to lodge a police complaint /FIR for making a claim in the event of loss and misuse of the card. Transactions done at an ATM with a valid PIN will not be covered under the insurance cover.

In case you have exhausted the funds on the card; you can reload your card with additional funds. The easiest way to do this is to contact branch of TT Holdings & Services Limited from where you bought it.

Yes! You may leave a signed copy of the reload Form and authorization with your family. Your family member can approach TT Holdings & Services Limited branch with the Reload form. On submission of the documents and receipt of the payment, Tata Travel Card would be reloaded.

The easiest way to cash out your card, if you don't want to reload it for your next trip, is to go to the nearest branch of TT Holdings & Services Limited or Axis Bank branch and get the remaining amount encashed.

Tata Travel Card can be encashed only after your return to India. Furthermore, the last transaction done on the card should be more than 10 days prior to the date of encashment. For refund of the residual or unutilized balances you can approach any of the nearest TT Holdings & Services Limited branch irrespective of where the card was issued. You need to complete the refund form and submit a copy of your passport along with the form.

In case you want to encash the entire unspent amount on the card, you need to cut the card into 4 pieces at the time of surrender. However if you wish to retain the card for further trips, you can do so by encashing the partial amount and maintaining a minimum balance of USD 20; EUR 15; GBP 10; AUD 25, CAD 25; SGD 30; CHF 25 and SEK 130. Please note that if the balance on the card is more than $ 2000 then the card should be encashed within 90 days from the date of arrival.

Our Customer Service Executives will immediately block the lost card and prevent it from further use and arrange to send you a replacement card within 2 working days. It is important to note that a lost Card report will be taken only after verification of your Mother's maiden name, Date of Birth, Passport no etc.

- You should look for VISA / VISA Electron / MasterCard sign at the point-of-sale merchant establishment.
- The Merchant must have an electronic point of sale card swiping terminal.
- Present your Travel Card after making purchase.
- Do not give your PIN to the merchant even if requested. PIN is not required for POS transactions.
- After a successful authorization, a hold for the transacted amount will first be placed on your account.
- Subsequently, your account will be debited for the transacted amount.
- A sales slip will be generated from the electronic card-swiping terminal.
- Check and sign the sales slip. Your signature must match the one on your Tata Travel Card.
- Ensure your card is returned to you.
- Please note that this card can be used only for online transactions. Any transaction, which is done in an offline mode (Manual key Entry), would be declined, as it does not get routed to the online systems.
