Head, Tata Capital Special Situations Fund - Trust

Ramkumar conceptualized and heads the Tata Capital Special Situations Fund. He successfully completed the fund raising from the large PSU banks in India.

Prior to joining Tata Capital, he was Vice-President (Corporate Affairs) & Secretary of Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, the auto-component arm of the Tatas. He was a key member of its top management, since inception to its growth to over INR 30 billion of turnover in a span of about 12 years. His major contributions there include the negotiating and structuring of 12 joint ventures with global Tier I auto component suppliers, facilitating technology transfer and assimilation; successfully divesting non-core businesses and leading its first global foray through the acquisition of an Interiors business in Germany. In its initial years, he was responsible for setting up and managing the finance, legal and secretarial function and later, he had the additional responsibility of acting CFO for about two years.

Ramkumar was also responsible for restructuring underperforming companies and in some cases, divestments and re┬┐organization, besides being part of the M&A team evaluating multi-billion dollar listed global corporations for possible acquisitions. Prior to that, he worked in companies such as Forbes Campbell, Voltas, BASF (India) and RAS Extrusions.

Naresh N. Saggam

Principal, Operational Restructuring

Naresh joined Tata Capital in January 2010. He is primarily responsible for planning and implementing operational improvement programs in investee companies.

Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Aquapharm Chemicals, where he focused on -One Time Deliveries, QA practices, Production planning and Control, cost and waste reduction initiatives. Prior to that, he was the President of Marpol Private Limited, where he helped restructure the organization and the company posted substantial growth moving it from the no. 6 position to no. 2 position in the powder coating industry in India. Earlier, Naresh worked with Thermax Limited where he held senior positions across various functions and businesses. Prior to Thermax, he has worked with Alfa Laval and Philips India Limited.

Naresh is a Graduate Industrial Engineer and Mechanical Engineer. He has completed Quality Management from AOTS-Japan and Management Development Program at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Amol Gunda

Analyst, Tata Capital Special Situations Fund - Trust

Amol joined Tata Capital in 2010 and has been working with the Tata Capital Special Situations Fund since June 2011. He has earlier worked with Cognizant Technologies.

Amol has a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the Pune University and a Masters in Business Administration, specializing in Finance from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He has also completed the Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute, USA and the Financial Risk Manager course with the Global Association of Risk Professionals, USA.
