True to the spirit of the Tata Companies, Tata Capital believes that Corporate Sustainability is the cornerstone for business operations. At the conceptual level, Tata Capital’s fundamental views on CSR are oriented towards the stakeholder-participation approach where the target group(s) are seen as stakeholder(s) in the community whose well-being is integral to the long-term success of the company and not merely a charity-oriented approach.
This is largely on account of the following factors:
- The growing importance attached to the ‘eco-social’ stability i.e. social and environmental stability and sustainability – necessary for the survival of a free-market economy in the long run.
- The importance Tata Capital attaches to accountability, transparency and social and environmental investment as the key aspects of corporate governance.

Tata Capital believes in growth with a human face and in pursuing people-centric development. We are a socially committed organization and a socially responsible corporate citizen.
The focus will be on initiatives that are people-centric with active community participation at all levels. To this end, we will initiate innovative schemes and initiatives in two critical areas to put our CSR strategy into action – Financial Independence and Climate change.
